ある程度機器に詳しい人だと「あれ？ IEEE 802.11nは？」と思うかもしれません。これについても結構誤解があるところで、正確には「IEEE 802.11n」というのはIEEE 802.11aかIEEE 802.11gを高速化する規格であって、IEEE 802.11n単体で接続するってことではないんですよ。

なので「高速な11n対応！」という表現も、それが11a＋11nなのか、11g＋11nなのかで話は違って来る。例えて言うなら11nは速度を上げる界王拳みたいなもんなんだけど、それを悟空が使うのかベジータが使うのか、はたまたヤムチャが使うのかでは話が違ってきますよね、という感じです。
